11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
God’s Provisions Philippians 4 KJV
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
Good Morning. It sounds like the church at Philippi was friendly towards Paul,Paul states that they revived and abounded their concern for him. Notice too that they shared in Paul’s affliction in verse 14. However Paul had learned to be content in all experiences of life, this contentment Paul learned by trusting in the Lord through God’s faithfulness. He knew Jesus would never forsake him nor leave him! In a humble state he trusted God and in a state of having plenty he trusted God! Paul also showed the confidence of knowing that through Christ Paul could do ALL things. When we do things that are beyond our means or ability we can rest assured that it is Jesus moving in us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
