God is LOVE!

God Is Love  1John 4

7Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
Good Morning. Here in our text for today, we see the heart of God discovered! Love is the greatest attribute of God, His love is unconditional love, a love that extends to all people even the most sinful! This kind of love seems beyond our ability to comprehend, it is a love that defines the nature of the One who loves not the one who is loved! Love is shown by action and not only feelings. God’s action of love is well demonstrated in the fact that God sent His One and Only Son to die for the sins of the world! That action was demonstrated on the cross where Jesus died! Because of such love God has for you and I can we find it in ourselves to love one another? As a matter of fact, the only way to know God is to love because God Himself abides in the LOVE!
