Israel’s ignorance of salvation through Christ.

Israel Needs the Gospel  Romans 10 Inline image

10 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for [a]Israel is that they may be saved. 2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Good Morning. Here in our text for today, we understand why Israel (God’s chosen people) as a whole is not saved. God will deal with Israel at another time about salvation through Jesus Christ! How many churches have a sincerity in their belief of salvation but not according to biblical knowledge? The Apostle Paul’s heart’s desire was for Israel to be saved but they (Israel) sought to establish their OWN righteousness. They might have been sincere but they were wrong! No one can be saved by their own thoughts on how to find salvation. There is only one way to be saved and that is by God’s grace through faith, believing in Jesus Christ! Our passage tells us that Christ is the end of the Law Of Righteousness for everyone who believes. The righteousness of God is only attained by believing in Jesus and trusting Him as Lord and Savior (2Corinthians 5:21). AMEN.
